As a musician, Mr. Everett is a percussionist who has played with orchestras, opera companies, Broadway shows, and jazz groups around the world.  Some of these include the New Haven Symphony, Santa Fe Opera, 42nd Street on Broadway, and with the Aeolian Paul Whiteman Band, Harold Danko, Ornette Coleman, and many others.

Mr. Everett's teaching experience has spanned from junior high school in Summit, NJ to many years on the faculty at the Trinity School in NYC, to graduate students at Yale, and adults at the Yale Club of New York.  He has taught Spanish, French, Italian, and German, as well as music.

As a linguist, Mr. Everett has not only taught, but also served as an interpreter for many artists, including working with the Tricia Brown Dance Company on their tour to Naples to work with Lina Wertmuller.

CJ Everett has been an administrator in schools and arts organizations for many years.  He was a concert manager, an administrator at the Peabody Conservatory in Baltimore, and a promoter for the music publisher Boosey and Hawkes. He also worked for CBS Cable Television in the classical and jazz music areas.

He has represented major Italian music publishers in the United States, and worked as the Orchestra Manager for the Spoleto Festival of Two Worlds.  It was while working for Giancarlo Menotti in Spoleto that the Everetts first became acquainted with the town and its wonderful people. Their many friends in Spoleto collaborated in making the Spoleto Arts Symposia a reality.
