The Spoleto Vocal Jazz Workshop

Because of an ever-growing interest in vocal jazz expressed by our participants in the past, The Spoleto Arts Symposia launched the Vocal Jazz Workshop in August 2001. It was a huge success.

Over our ten year history singers have given many concerts in Umbria and Rome of Broadway music, jazz and gospel but without the concentration that we will now offer, nor with the presence of a known jazz singer and teacher. The renowned Michele Hendricks will direct the week-long workshop with support from Renato Chicco, coach and pianist along with his quartet. Students are invited from all countries.
