The Spoleto Vocal Jazz Workshop

HOW TO APPLY AND AUDITION:

1. Complete the application form and include a fee of $20.00
2. Audition in Person: You may make an appointment to audition in person if you will be in New York City
   or
   
3. Taped Audition: You may send a cassette or videotape of your performing by the application deadline.

All those auditioning should present three jazz selections.

SCHOLARSHIPS, RAISING FUNDS:

Throughout our history many of our students have been successful in raising funds on their own, either through private sponsorship, grants, or special concerts. If accepted to the Workshop, we will be passing along a number of very useful case studies in how this was achieved. Only limited tuition assistance is available directly through SVAS. Any award will be based on both need and artistic merit and therefore depends upon a candidate's audition and financial statement. You must submit a copy of your (or your parents') 2000 tax return, including all schedules, as well as a copy of your 2000 W-2 forms. No scholarship will be awarded if documentation is incomplete. All announcements regarding financial aid through SVAS will be made by June 15.
