The Spoleto Kids' Camp
from 21 July-10 August by special arrangement for each participant
A good number of our workshop participants and faculty have sought a structured program for their accompanying children while in Italy. This initiative comes in recognition that many of you want to study and travel with your children and with the assurance that they be part of a significant program designed for them - very likely their introduction to Italian culture.
The Spoleto Kids' Camp is a comprehensive day camp headed by very able staff, expert educators of young people who speak Italian fluently. The club offers cultural experiences with Italian families and their children, arts and crafts, drama, music, sports, and field trips throughout Umbria.
The Faculty
Leader, Jenny Flaherty is currently a doctoral candidate at the University of North
Carolina in comparative literature. Jenny earned her Bachelor's degree from New York University where her work included study in France and Italy so that she is now quite fluent speaking both languages. Jenny has much experience with a range of children, having been an intern at the Mt. Sinai Center for Autistic Children, and having also taught gifted children. Jenny has a personality that captivates and enthralls everyone - parents and students alike. We are very much looking forward to her return.
