The Spoleto Writers' Workshop

Participants will be selected on the basis of a submitted manuscript. Applications will be processed as they are received; therefore the sooner you apply, the sooner you will receive a response to your application. If you are applying in poetry, we suggest that you send ten pages of your work; if in prose, send twenty pages. Manuscripts will not be returned. You will be notified by Rosellen Brown of your acceptance. Please send the application form and your manuscript to:

Applications and manuscripts are accepted on a rolling basis. We strongly encourage early application. Deadline for applying: June 1, 2005.

Payment:

Within two weeks after you are notified of your acceptance into the program, you will need to send a non-refundable deposit of $650 to the Spoleto Writers' Workshop at the New York City address. You will then receive detailed information about preparing for your trip, clothing needs, weather conditions, local transportation, and much more.

The deadline for full payment is June 15, 2005 and must be met to avoid the cancellation of your place in the program and the loss of your deposit. Please note that all fees are non-refundable.  Sorry, no credit cards accepted.

We hope that you will be joining us. I know that if you do, you will have a very memorable and productive experience, as quite a number of writers already have in our last ten successful years. You will find yourself working with some of the best writers and teachers of our day, in one of the most beautiful and inspiring settings in the world.
